David Wong Hsien Ming was born in Singapore, discovered poetry as a child at a Sunday lunch and pursued honors in Philosophy at the University of Melbourne, reading poetry at Rutgers University New Brunswick along the way. His poetry earned an Honorable Mention and later won second prize at Singapore’s Golden Point Award, and has appeared in Quarterly Literary Review Singapore, Ceriph, EastLit, Literary Orphans, Mascara Literary Review. He is a high school teacher, and also served as text editor for poetry.sg, an online database providing critical analysis and multimedia resources for Singapore’s poetry.
